Steady Statement
Simon has moved to clarify comments made in Thursday nights Pit Crew Quiz Night that appear, in some quarters, to have been taken out of context. It was suggested light heartedly, by Richard Crowley, that Simon should not sign anything while under the influence at a wedding both him and Alun Rossiter are due to attend this coming weekend. The inference was that Simon might inadvertently agree to a lesser deal and when it was suggested he might only be offered 50% Simon quipped 'or nothing'. This should in no way be construed that Simon has not been paid for representing Swindon this season. That is not the case and was not inferred. Simon acknowledges and appreciates the difficult season that both he and the club have had and looks forward to meeting with the Promotion during the next week when the outstanding business from this season and both his and the Clubs plans for 2012 will be discussed.

Out again
SWINDON will be without their captain Simon Stead for their Easter fixtures after the GB international was told to rest his rib injuries.
Stead has ridden through the pain barrier after a recent crash in Poland, but will now miss this week’s trip to Poole as well as home and away matches against Birmingham.
His target is to return for our meeting with Eastbourne on May 2.
